When I held my daughter for the first time, I could not believe God would bless me in such a way after the wayward years I had previously stumbled out of. He knows us better than we know ourselves. So, there are infinite ways He does things we don’t know to ask for. His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. “God can do anything, you know- far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.” - Ephesians 3:20 Message “The Lord is able to transform angry people into peaceful ones sad people into content believers ” Candice Lucey wrote, “despairing individuals into his own hopeful children who are confident that they are a bigger and better story.” What Kinds of Things Does God Do That We Don't Think to Ask For? But no matter how much we grow in our faith, we still can’t see the next day, or always understand fully why certain things happen to us and the ones we love in this life. The more time spent with God in His Word, the Bible, and in prayer and worship, the more we begin to see through His perspective. (NASB) Superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think. “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” Ephesians 3:20 NLT What Does Paul Mean by 'God Is Able to Do Immeasurably More Than All We Ask'? We can pray big prayers to our all-powerful God. Paul wrote to the Ephesians to remind them of these powerful truths about who God is and who they were as His children … and who we are as His children today. The cross was brutal and unjust, but Jesus faced it head on for us, praying for His Father’s will to be done. Our heavenly Father loves us so much, He sent His only Son Jesus to die for us. We are all created in His image and designed with a specific, unique purpose. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21 Pray passionately in the Spirit, as you constantly intercede with every form of prayer at all times. And take the mighty razor-sharp Spirit-sword of the spoken word of God. In every battle, take faith as your wrap-around shield, for it is able to extinguish the blazing arrows coming at you from the evil one! Embrace the power of salvation’s full deliverance, like a helmet to protect your thoughts from lies. Stand on your feet alert, then you’ll always be ready to share the blessings of peace. Put on holiness as the protective armor that covers your heart. Put on truth as a belt to strengthen you to stand in triumph. Because of this, you must wear all the armor that God provides so you’re protected as you confront the slanderer, for you are destined for all things and will rise victorious. For they are a powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage. Put on God’s complete set of armor provided for us, so that you will be protected as you fight against the evil strategies of the accuser! Your hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms. Stand victorious with the force of his explosive power flowing in and through you. Now my beloved ones, I have saved these most important truths for last: Be supernaturally infused with strength through your life-union with the Lord Jesus.
