I really think that I’ve seen Alexa Rose before, but I can’t seem to find when. I’ve never seen him, but I have wanted to for quite some time now. That said, I might have gone to check them out again, but there are way too many options right now and I’m going with Allison Russell at the Hopmonk!!!!ġ1/3/23 - Brandy Clark at Bimbo’s. I’m not sure about a full show where they are the headlining band (for me). I liked them they were fun and yet some of their lyrics seemed to be women speaking their truth. I just saw this band at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass. This show is sold out!ġ1/2/23 - Jim Lauderdale at the Hopmonk Novato.ġ1/3/23 - Say She She at The Chapel. This band is fun!ġ1/2/23 - Courtney Barnett at Bimbo’s. November 2023ġ1/1/23 - Tropa Magica at the Great American. You should check venue websites as shows are still being cancelled and there are different requirements for different shows / artists as far as masking and showing proof of vaccination, etc. Here’s what’s coming up in the San Francisco Bay Area: I haven’t been to The Guild yet, but I hear good things about it. For quieter bands, it can be a moderately unpleasant experience. If the band is loud enough, it can work out. There is almost always a crowd there that is not there to see the music and they like to talk over the music. I want to say the Sweetwater but it’s hard to recommend.
